Reverend Thomason was the minister of Arlen First Methodist Church until season 3. In Revenge of the Lutefisk, he retires to be an online minister. When announcing his retirement he stated: "After much reflection and soul searching, he's decided the future of God is on the internet. CyberRev.com will spread the gospel to every online soul in the world, unless you have AOL." Karen Stroup replaced him and was the minister for the rest of the series.
