Synopsis

After being rejected from a ladies' book club, Peggy buys the lease of a bookstore where the club took place. She is ecstatic about this, until she learns books are not exactly hot items in the Arlen economy. Dale has been using the store space to sell unregistered firearms and bribing local cops, as well as paying Peggy part of the profits, or her "cut" for allowing this on her property. Peggy is uneasy with this, but sees this black market activity as the only way to stay afloat. Interestingly, she soon starts up a book club of her own in the basement with the Arlen Gun Club as her members.
