Jugstore Cowboys is a strip club in Arlen, owned and managed by a man named Keith and frequented by Buck Strickland and was also one of Mr. Holloway's favorite locations in Arlen. It was first featured in "The Company Man" and again shown more prominently in "24 Hour Propane People." Strickland's business rival M.F. Thaterton basically sealed a business deal with Holloway after taking him to the club.

Trivia[]

  • The name of the club is an obvious spoof on the title of Drugstore Cowboy.
  • At the strip club, Hank asks a stripper shaking her rear to leave the table he and Mr Holloway are sitting at, while Holloway showed no objection and even ogled and smiled with pleasure. Joe Kennedy parody Holloway's fascination with the strip club and its pole dancers was likely a spoof of Joe Kennedy's adulterous behavior, which included intimate affairs with Hollywood actresses Gloria Swanson and Marlene Dietrich.
  • Strippers at the club are described as "former Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders." Ironically, a few months before Buck Strickland inspiration and former U.S. President Lyndon Johnson died, the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders started donning the revolutionary revealing look and dance routines they are known for today. These new cheerleaders also fit in with Johnson's habit of using sexual pleasure as a way to blackmail people of interest in order to get important legislation passed.
